Facebook has been attacked by a huge flood of links, videos, and images depicting pornography, acts of violence, self-mutilation, and bestiality, on the site is the result of a coordinated spam attack and explicit, violent images have flooded the newsfeeds of many Facebook users in the last 24 hours or so.
The content, which includes explicit hardcore porn images, photos of celebrities, pictures of extreme violence have been distributed via the site – seemingly without the knowledge of users.
Security firm Sophos posted some images of twitter users some Facebook users venting their annoyance
So how to Fix the problem:
1) Change your account password – Keeping a strong alphanumeric and symbol password helps a lot rather than date of birth or names.
2) Remove unwanted apps and games – A rogue app that you accidentally installed or were tricked into installing could have allowed your wall to be infected with spam and links. Remove all the Facebook apps you find suspicious. If you don’t know how to do so, you can refer to How to clean up your Facebook apps.
3) Be aware and spread the word so others can do the same. A mass change allows social efforts for all to be safe.
